Headquartered in Pudong, a rising star of China's economy and also one of the most vigorous foreign investment locations in China, Dynamic Mandarin Communication has established itself as one of the leading Mandarin training schools in Shanghai, enjoying a good reputation among foreign communities there.
Being ambitious and not wanting to be confined to just one place, Dynamic Mandarin Communication has shifted its attention to Shenzhen, another booming economic powerhouses in China, where an increasing number of expatriates are working, studying or traveling.
With a unique market sensibility, Dynamic chose the Overseas Chinese Town as its base and recently set up a training center in Meijia Square. It is blessed with beautiful surroundings, including Happy Valley, Window of the World and the Crown Plaza Hotel.
Overseas Chinese Town is one of the most appealing residential areas in Shenzhen as well as the country as a whole. It has attracted a large number of foreign friends to come and settle down, many of whom are from Korea. This is why Dynamic has invited Mr. Yong Gun Jeon , an energetic young man from Korea, to be its marketing manager. Jeon believes that he will certainly be very successful in recruiting students from the Korean community, because of their shared cultural background and mother tongue.
The center is brightly and comfortably decorated, with a homey atmosphere, and divided into one small classroom and two large classrooms to
accommodate different classes.
According to Jeon, all its teachers are qualified and have been teaching Mandarin as a foreign language to expatriates for at least 1 year. They are responsible and patient and will be able to ensure optimal results. The teaching materials are based on the Mandarin level of students and their specific needs.
The center provides CDs as a complimentary learning material for students to practice and assimilate Mandarin at home. Jeon said the center encourages students spend at least one hour to practice outside the class.
In the class, the teachers prepare various exercises for students, helping them to practice new things and review old ones. Every two weeks, students receive study reports; every month, they take exams; every other month, they complete one level; and finally, they take a final exam. With this system, Dynamic is able to closely follow the progress of its students and provide timely adjustments according to individual needs.
To create a lively atmosphere, the teachers often prepare jokes. They also use photos of many different things, such as buses, local snacks and traditional Chinese clothes, or present real-life situations like making phone calls and booking tickets. The purpose is to make Chinese words and expressions vivid and funny and help the students to memorize them more quickly.
Though it is a newcomer, Dynamic is confident that it will be able to create a successful business in Shenzhen, just as it has done in Shanghai.
